Dr. Stefani Warmington joined our team in 2017 as a part-time emergency veterinarian. She also works as the primary associate veterinarian at a general practice providing wellness healthcare for dogs and cats.
As a young child, she had a passion for helping animals and always knew that she wanted to be a veterinarian. She grew up with cats and horses and often helped out at the farm where her family kept the horses. Throughout school she volunteered with both small and large animal veterinarians and started her own dog-walking/sitting business to spend as much time learning about the animal care industry as she could.
She completed her Animal Biology Honours program at the University of Guelph where she focused on nutrition, behaviour and animal welfare. After graduation, she was accepted into the Ontario Veterinary College where she focused on internal medicine and nutrition for companion animals and horses. She graduated with honours in 2012 with her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree.
Dr. Warmington spends much of her free time attending and participating in continuing education events to ensure that she is current and aware of the newest developments in veterinary medicine in order to provide the best possible care for our clients’ pets.
Outside of the hospital, Dr Warmington enjoys spending time with her significant other, friends and four-legged family members: her over-sized puppy Mitch (a true mixture of breeds that was adopted from the Alliston and District Humane Society after fostering his mother and proving care for her and her 8 puppies!), her two cats Tinkerbell and Pete, and her horse Mrs. B.
