Dr. Rachel is a Toronto native who began aspiring to becoming a veterinarian as a young girl, like most children who love animals. While obtaining her honours degree from the University of Guelph Animal Biology program, she spent her free time volunteering with the small and large animal surgery and ward departments at the Ontario Veterinary College. She also was a laboratory animal technician at the University of Toronto. After graduating with honours in 2012, she soon attended her dream school, the Ontario Veterinary College in Guelph, Ontario. She graduated with her veterinary degree with distinction in 2018.
Dr. Rachel has had the honour of treating and caring for pets at the Vaughan Richmond Hill Veterinary Emergency Clinic since early 2020. She strives to treat every patient like her own and their owners like family members. Her professional interests include emergency and critical care medicine as well as soft tissue surgery.
In her down time, Dr. Rachel enjoys boxing, sewing, attending musical theatre, live concerts/comedy clubs and climbing the tallest mountains (of note, Half Dome in Yosemite National Park!). She has recently taken up horticulture and blacksmithing, and aspires to try her hand at craft home-brewing. She lives in Toronto with her partner and their two cats, Tom and Rodan.
